Terminology

The terms Meet the Dutch Bed & Breakfast, B&B are terms for Bed and Breakfast Meet the Dutch Ridderkerk.
Guest: a person who has reserved and stays at B&B and is registered as such.
Main guest: the person who has reserved at the B&B. The main guest must be older than 18 and is responsible for his / her fellow guests.
Administrator: the person who, as the owner of the B&B, or on behalf of the owner of the B&B, manages the B&B.
Third parties: any other legal person who is not a guest, manager or owner.
Reservation: a confirmation of the reservation request by Bed & Breakfast Meet the Dutch Ridderkerk
Cancellation: The revocation or cancellation of the definitive reservation within the applicable period or a no-show at the time of the reservation.

1. Meet the Dutch Bed & Breakfast Ridderkerk

1.1 The B&B is described in the website www.bbmeetthedutch.com This website has been compiled with the greatest care, but there may be differences between the text and / or photos presented on the website and the current situation in the B&B at the time of the visit by the guests). No rights can be derived from such differences by guests.
1.2 The minimum stay at Meet the Dutch is one night. A different minimum stay may apply during the holiday periods and / or during the summer months.
1.3 The B&B is accessible 24 hours a day. The B&B section has its own lockable entrance.
1.4 Rest periods are from midnight to 7 AM.
1.5 Smoking is not permitted in the rooms or in the communal areas or anywhere indoors. Smoking is permitted outside.
1.6 Pets of guests are not allowed in / at the B&B, unless otherwise agreed between the guest and manager.
1.7 The rooms are suitable for two people, unless indicated otherwise when booking.
1.8 Check in from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, check out by 11:00 am. Later check-in possible in mutual consultation.
1.9 Meet the Dutch is suitable for children.
1.10 Guests can park their car in the parking area in front of the B&B. Parking is at your own risk.
1.11 Guests must have a permanent place of residence or stay
1.12 Guests must follow the instructions of the managers
1.13 The managers can deny and / or refuse guests access to Meet the Dutch with immediate effect in the event of a violation of the general terms and conditions and / or internal rules or in the event of improper behavior, without further notice and explanation of reasons and without reimbursement of accommodation costs.
1.14 Guests of Meet the Dutch must adhere to the rules of procedure that are provided to them online when booking and that are also available for inspection at the B&B.
1.15 Meet the Dutch is registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 71659641

2.0 Rates

2.1 The rates include gas, water, electricity and heating. The rates include VAT and tourist tax.
2.2 The rates do not include the costs of cancellation and / or travel insurance and / or other costs.
2.3. Rates of the B&B are always without obligation and are subject to interim changes.
2.4 All statements on the website of the B&B (www.bbmeetthedutch.com) are deemed to have been provided in good faith and are always subject to interim adjustments. The B&B is not bound by obvious errors on its website.

3.0 Reservation and Payment

3.1 Reservation is only possible online via www.bbmeetthedutch.com.
3.2 The reservation is only final after confirmation of your reservation request by Meet the Dutch.
3.3 For reservations from abroad, 50% of the reservation amount must be paid to Meet the Dutch within 14 days after the reservation. If the check-in date is within 14 days after the reservation, payment will apply in the B&B. Only after receiving this advance amount will a booking confirmation be provided.
3.4 The advance or the total accommodation costs must be transferred to: I Roder ING:

3.5 Payment of the (remaining) amount must be made at the B&B before checking out. Payment can be made in cash or by PIN. Credit cards are not accepted.

4.0 Cancellation

4.1 Up to 1 day prior to the date of arrival, cancellation is free of charge. For example arrival Friday, cancellation is free of charge up to and including Wednesday. For reservations from abroad there is no refund of the advance amount.
4.2 If canceled from 1 day before the date of arrival, 100% of the rate of the first night will be charged (average reservation amount per night). For reservations from abroad there is no refund of the advance amount.
4.3 After arrival cancellation or early departure during the stay, the entire stay period (confirmed total travel sum) will be charged.
4.4 Cancellations can only be made in writing via the contact form on the website or by email via B&B meetthedutch.com.
4.5 Meet the Dutch always has the right to withdraw a definitive reservation more than 2 days prior to the date of arrival without giving reasons. Advances already paid are refunded to the main guest at no cost.

5.0 Damage

5.1 The guest must behave properly and use the B&B accommodation in accordance with the reasonable user instructions given by the B&B or the owner / manager.
5.2 The main guest is legally responsible for the damage caused by him or his fellow guests to the B&B accommodation or the items present therein.
5.3 A claim (damage, loss, loss and / or theft) must be reported by the guest directly to the owner or the manager. Repair and / or replacement costs must be immediately reimbursed by the guest to the owner / manager at his first request.
5.4 In the event of loss or otherwise non-return of keys to the B&B, all resulting costs will be charged to the main guest. The main guest undertakes to pay this within 14 days after sending the substantiated invoice.
5.5 If the keys are not returned at check-out, the main guest is obliged to send the keys by registered mail to the B&B owner within 2 working days.

6.0 Complaints

6.1 The guest is always entitled to submit a complaint to the B&B by means of a complaint. The B&B must always handle a complaint adequately and with due speed, so that the complaint is handled according to the standards of reasonableness and fairness.

7.0 Force majeure

7.1 In the event of force majeure, both of a permanent and temporary nature, the B&B is entitled to dissolve the agreement in whole or in part or to suspend it temporarily without the guest being able to claim fulfillment and / or compensation. Force majeure includes, but is not limited to: danger of war, war, uprising, war, strikes, boycott, disruptions in the energy circuit, traffic or transport, government measures, scarcity of raw materials, natural disasters and furthermore all circumstances, exceptional weather conditions , death of one of owners or close family members, etc., including the reasonableness and fairness of all or part of the agreement cannot be demanded of the B&B.

8.0 Liability

8.1 The B&B cannot be held liable for damage suffered by the guest or third parties as a result of the stay in the accommodation; the guest indemnifies the B&B against claims in this regard. The B&B is not liable for disruptions in and around the accommodation such as disruptions and power outages and water supplies and technical installations, not or timely announced construction and / or road works in the vicinity of the B&B.
8.2 The B&B can only be held liable for damage due to the gross negligence or negligence of the B&B.
8.3 Without prejudice to the provisions of 8.1 and 8.2, the liability of the B&B, if and insofar as the B&B is held legally liable for any reason in relation to the user agreement, is always limited to direct damage and any form of consequential damage is excluded. The liability of the B&B is furthermore always limited to the maximum amount that the insurer of the B&B will pay in the appropriate case.
8.4 The B&B accepts no liability for injury to persons and / or damage, loss or theft of property of the users.

10 Final provision

10.1 To the extent that the rules of private international law do not provide otherwise, only Dutch law applies to the present conditions. Non-Dutch speaking guests are deemed to agree with the general terms and conditions drawn up in Dutch.
10.2 All disputes arising from the user agreement or these terms and conditions will be settled in the first instance by the competent court in the Netherlands, insofar as the rules of private international law do not provide otherwise.
10.3 Neither party can transfer its rights and obligations to third parties, unless otherwise specified in the present conditions.
10.4 If and insofar as any provision in the user agreement and the present terms and conditions is found to be invalid, the other terms and conditions will remain in force and the invalid article will be deemed to have been converted to bring it into line with the apparent intentions of the parties.
